1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember certain information about your visit — for example, whether you are logged in or which pages you have viewed.

Cookies are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide reporting information. They are not harmful and do not contain executable code or viruses.
